Overnight writes on the following topics (1/2 – 1 page on each):
1) Who was Confucius and why is he significant in the history of China and Chinese philosophy?
2) Pick 3 sayings of Confucius and/or the other authors you read as favorites, and tell why they were striking/meaningful to you.
3) Make a list so that in class tomorrow you can work on the following projects in small groups:
a. What advice would Confucius give to George W. Bush?
b. Is human nature inherently good or evil? Which author addressing this topic did you find more convincing? What do you think and why?
